It’s the name of my course and something I talk a lot about, but what exactly does this word mean?
Metabolic - relating to metabolism, which is a sum of all things that have to happen in the body to keep us alive.
Simply put, it’s how well your body takes what you eat and turns that into energy (heat).
Metabolic health = efficiency and energy.
Your body can get energy from your food - as it was designed to do, or from your energy reserves which is less ideal and a more stressful process as a whole.
Metabolic health = whole health
Immune response, digestion, hormonal balance, etc.
How we live (our daily habits) impact our whole health. Small shifts and changes (as simple as drinking coffee after breakfast) can make a big impact on your metabolic health!
